Chris was formerly with the award winning multi platinum country group Confederate Railroad. He spent 16 years with the group until 2000, where he found himself in the middle of a $70,000 a year cocaine addiction. He went into rehab where he admitted he had a problem and was in need of help from a higher power.
After rehab, Chris landed at Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison, TN where he heard a message on Jeremiah 29:11-13. Convicted by the word of God, he was led to the alter where he totally surrendered his heart and life to Christ.
Since then, Chris and his team have spent over 25 years serving in churches, prisons and rehab centers all over the US. Their passion is to re-establish the presence of the local church in the community by outreach and ministries in the local jails and prisons.
A NOTE FROM CHRIS:
Life begins with a conversation, and God has given me a unique gift to always start a conversation with everyone I meet. Since he has changed my life, my heartbeat is about sharing what I found in and through Jesus Christ. Many conversations have led to opportunities to lead people to Christ or pray for various needs. The one thing God has shown me over the last several years is, the more you talk, the more you find out. Then you start to see that people are more about connection than they are conversations. My antennas, spiritual antennas, start paying close attention. It is there where I see what I call ‘God Stories’. Over the years in ministry I have encountered many ‘God Stories’. In John chapter 15, Jesus says , “I am the vein and you are the branches. If a man remains, abides, connects to me, I will remain, abide and connect to him, and he will bear much fruit.” We could think of fruit in several ways: the fruit of the harvest, the fruit of encouragement or the fruits of the spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self control. Through my spiritual antennas, eyes and ears, I’ve seen God connect so many things together that it’s almost like it’s unbelievable when I share it with someone else. When I have regurgitated the stories I’ve seen God use them to encourage and edify others who were in desperate need to hear exactly what the Lord allowed me to see. That is why I am doing Connect The Dots. It will be a video driven group of testimonies of how God connects the dots in everyday life, and the fruit it bears will encourage and bring hope to the hopeless and light a fire in the believer that God is not in a box but He is connecting the dots for His glory and our good. God has blessed me with the media resources to fulfill this mission far beyond what I could have imagined! That’s just another dot He has CONNECTED! - CHRIS MCDANIEL
Chris has several different ministries he is a part of including:
CRUSADES:
Chris has been blessed to be lead thousands in worship as he has traveled the US and Nicaragua. While Chris is a seasoned entertainer, God has molded Chris into a humble worship servant, who’s ultimate goal is to usher people to the throne of God. Chris has the ability to lead in a multitude of styles including classic hymns, southern gospel, country gospel, blended worship or contemporary worship. Chris has led worship for Ronnie Hill Crusades, Big God Conferences featuring Ken Freeman and many others.
MEN’S MINISTRY:
Chris has actively served many churches and events with car shows, wild game dinners, men’s conferences and fishing tournaments. He has the ability to connect with men in all walks of life because of his unique testimony of fame, fortune, the loss of a brother to drug overdose, his own drug addiction and the story of being adopted at the age of 2 by his father.
PRISON MINISTRY:
Chris is actively involved in prison ministry in the state of Georgia. Working with Heartbound Ministries and formerly United Prison Ministries, his heartfelt testimony about the prison of his own making, with his cocaine addiction, has encouraged many men in the prison system to step up and give their lives to Jesus and live a life of freedom despite their incarceration.
REHABILITATION MINISTRY:
Chris has a heart to help others who have addictions find peace through Jesus Christ. He is heavily involved with Celebrate Recovery programs throughout the US. During his tenure with the country band Confederate Railroad, Chris struggled with his own substance addiction, climaxing with a $70,000 per year cocaine habit. After his 3rd stint in a secular rehab, he ultimately found his true rehabilitation through the blood of Jesus Chris. Now Chris is a living testimony of God’s grace, power and forgiveness in changing a person’s life. He would love the opportunity to talk and pray with you if you are struggling with any hurt, habit or hang up.
